GBF received the following complaint:

Citizen concerned with the large commercial tankers offloading their sewage in the channel while waiting to go to port. This happens every month or so and is not consistent or noticeable from a particular ship or from any certain country. At 4:30 pm today the odor was horrendous.

Report initially submitted to Galveston County Health District, but since this incident occurred more than one mile off shore, the incident was finally submitted to the U.S. Coast Guard.
